Alabama Reduced Cost Business and Occupational Licenses for Disabled Veterans
Alabama offers a limited business/occupational license-tax deduction for qualifying permanent-resident, honorably discharged wartime Veterans with at least 25% physical disability, whether service-connected or not. A personally operated livelihood business with no more than one employee, helper or apprentice may deduct up to $25 from applicable state, county and municipal license taxes; this is not a $25 cap on the remaining tax. Property must be valued below $5,000 and net annual income below $2,500. Confirm eligibility and exclusions with the licensing office.
An agency must make the actual eligibility decision.
The program is source-verified, but its eligibility rules are not automated in this record.
