Jurisdiction choices and benefit matching stay voluntary and local

• The Benefits Explorer can evaluate a saved local scenario, but only after you explicitly create or select one.
• Benefit matching uses facts entered on this device. State or territory selection is voluntary.
• The application does not request precise location, GPS permission, a street address, or infer legal residence from an IP address.
• Viewing all available catalog benefits does not require a disability scenario.
• The example disability profile is fictional, loads only after an explicit button selection, and does not autosave or replace a saved scenario.
• Selected jurisdiction, rating, condition, P&T, TDIU, SMC, and benefit-match details are not sent to analytics.

Your service and family selections stay on this device

Service dates and their precision, selected eras, locations, operations, honors, former-POW or combat status, and survivor relationships are optional local planning facts. They are not sent to analytics, Tank, an AI provider, or an application server, and are not placed in URLs or sharing links.

Do not upload service records, award citations, DD214s, death certificates, or identity documents here. This feature has no upload field. Official agencies may separately request documentation through their own channels.

These selections are included in your private JSON export. Treat that file as sensitive; only share it intentionally. Import validates its structure before replacing saved records. Delete all local data also removes this history; clearing browser storage can remove it permanently.

Broad eras help you discover resources. They do not establish a legal service period, qualifying exposure, an award, a medical diagnosis, or eligibility. Blank and unsure answers remain unknown.

Form-finder answers and checklist status stay on this device

• The form finder works in the browser and does not transmit its answers to VetComp Planner.
• The forms checklist uses a separate local-storage record on this device. It is not a VA filing record.
• The application has no form-upload field and does not collect completed forms, signatures, medical findings, claim numbers, or Social Security numbers.
• Only approved event names—such as opening the Forms Center or printing a checklist—may be counted in anonymous analytics. Form numbers, DBQ names, search terms, condition selections, answers, checklist contents, and notes are never attached to those events.
• Opening an official link leaves VetComp Planner. VA or another approved government site then applies its own privacy and security practices.

Do not put sensitive personal or medical details into checklist notes or labels. Clearing site data may permanently remove the local checklist.

Private-sector research stays separate and local

• Private-sector opportunities are distinct from government benefits.
• Discount terms come from external companies, and clicking an offer leaves VetComp Planner.
• External companies may require their own account or military verification. VetComp Planner never receives verification documents or credentials.
• Employer and school preferences, directory searches, saved opportunities, and optional statuses are not sent to analytics.
• External sites have their own privacy policies.
• No affiliate links, referral codes, sponsored records, or paid placement are used in this release.

Saved opportunities are included in the existing JSON export and delete-all-data controls. Do not place résumés, application details, transcripts, military IDs, or account credentials in local notes.

Tank searches reviewed content in your browser

Tank searches reviewed VetComp Planner content in your browser. Your question is not sent to a generative AI provider.

• Tank is optional; the rest of the application works without it.
• Questions are not saved and are not sent to analytics. Limited topic and guided-step context clears when the page is refreshed.
• Question text is not written to local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, an application database, analytics, or feedback reports.
• Tank cannot access saved scenarios, Claim Files, calculator entries, local planning data, benefit answers, local storage, or VA accounts.
• Tank cannot change a rating, scenario, form checklist, evidence entry, benefit selection, or any other application state.
• Selecting a suggested page is always a user-controlled navigation action.
• Tank does not upload documents.
• Opening Tank may download a same-origin public search index. The request does not contain the question. External destinations have their own privacy practices.

Do not enter Social Security numbers, VA claim numbers, contact information, passwords, account numbers, full medical-record text, or other sensitive identifying information.

PayPal is a separate service

The optional donation link opens PayPal in a new tab. No payment details are collected by this application, and donating does not affect any planner calculation, evidence summary, VA benefit, or claim outcome. Review PayPal’s privacy terms before continuing.

Feedback is emailed only when you submit it

The rest of the application remains local-first. The optional Feedback & Suggestions form is an intentional exception: when you press Submit, the information entered in that form is transmitted through the configured transactional email provider and delivered to the application founder’s Gmail inbox.

• Submitting feedback is optional.
• You may submit without entering your name or email address.
• If you permit follow-up, the address you enter is used only as the message’s Reply-To address. It is not subscribed to a list.
• Feedback is not added to local scenarios, browser storage, an application database, analytics, or error-monitoring breadcrumbs.
• The application does not create a feedback database or send an automatic confirmation email.
• The email provider and Gmail may retain message and delivery information under their policies and the founder’s inbox practices.

Do not include Social Security numbers, VA claim numbers, medical-record text, decision letters, addresses, passwords, or other sensitive identifying information. The application cannot promise immediate deletion after an email has been delivered to external email services.

Privacy-first analytics do not receive your planning data

When enabled, the application uses Plausible Analytics to measure anonymous, aggregate traffic and product usage. The configured implementation uses no cookies or persistent advertising identifiers, is not used for advertising, and does not change the local-first storage model.

• Page addresses are reduced to reviewed canonical paths. Application query strings, hash fragments, condition identifiers, plan identifiers, state selections, search terms, submission references, tokens, and email addresses are not sent. Only enum-reviewed public campaign tags may be retained for aggregate campaign reporting.
• Disability conditions, diagnostic codes, ratings, compensation, SMC, TDIU, P&T, claims, evidence, dependents, notes, benefit matches, and feedback contents are not sent.
• The provider may derive approximate country, region, or city from the network request. The application never requests browser geolocation, GPS, a street address, a ZIP code, or precise coordinates.
• Automatic form measurement, session replay, input capture, DOM snapshots, advertising pixels, and behavioral profiles are not enabled.
• Browser Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, and the provider’s local opt-out are honored. Referrers are reduced to reviewed search and social origins; private paths and unknown hostnames are omitted. Page titles and download filenames are not included. You may also block the analytics script without losing calculator, planner, benefits, or offline functionality.

Abuse protection without invasive tracking

The feedback endpoint validates the exact application origin, limits request size, uses an inaccessible honeypot and completion-time check, verifies Cloudflare Turnstile on the server, and applies shared rate limits using a one-way keyed identifier. Raw IP addresses, feedback text, names, contact addresses, and Turnstile tokens are not written to application logs.

Turnstile and the transactional email provider may process the information necessary to provide their respective security and delivery services under their own terms.
