Delaware Office of Pensions Military Service Credit
Delaware State Employees’ Pension Plan military-credit rules depend on employment history. Certain employees hired before July 1, 1976 may receive up to five years of active-service credit under employment and qualifying-training deadlines. Covered employees returning within 90 days after qualifying military service may receive credit for that period. Other qualifying military service may be purchased, up to five years, at actuarial cost; purchased credit increases the pension calculation but does not establish pension eligibility or health-insurance service years. Ask the Office of Pensions to assess your record.
An agency must make the actual eligibility decision.
The program is source-verified, but its eligibility rules are not automated in this record.
