Florida Local Business Tax Exemption for Veterans, Spouses of Veterans and Service Members
Honorably discharged Veterans, their spouses and unremarried surviving spouses may request exemption from local business taxes and fees imposed under Chapter 205. A separate route covers an active-duty member’s spouse who moved to the county or municipality under PCS orders. The exemption can extend to a business majority-owned by an eligible person with fewer than 100 employees. File the local authority’s signed exemption request with supporting documents; this is not an income-tax or blanket business-fee exemption.
An agency must make the actual eligibility decision.
The program is source-verified, but its eligibility rules are not automated in this record.
