State Sponsored Life Insurance (SSLI) for Florida National Guard Service Members
The National Guard Association of Florida offers group term life-insurance options for actively serving Florida Army and Air Guard members and eligible spouses and children, through AFBA and 5Star Life. Additional coverage is voluntary and subject to policy terms, premiums and eligibility. Ask the association or AFBA about enrollment, current rates, beneficiary designations and continuation after service. This association-administered insurance is separate from SGLI and is not a VA disability entitlement.
The program provider determines eligibility under its own requirements; this is not a government entitlement.
