Georgia Gold Star Family License Plate

Georgia offers Gold Star plates to specified relatives of a service member who died in the line of duty: spouse, parents, stepparent, child, sibling or surviving spouse of a sibling. Eligible relatives who lived in Georgia when the service member died may receive up to two free plates; others and additional vehicles have applicable fees. Provide the required pre-death DEERS report or DD1300 documenting the relationship. Vehicle taxes are separate, and transfer is limited to another vehicle acquired by that eligible relative.
