Georgia National Guard and Reserve Combat Zone or Border Defense Pay Exclusion
Georgia excludes qualifying National Guard or Reserve military income earned under orders while stationed in a combat zone or defending U.S. borders. Relief is limited to income during those orders that was included in federal adjusted gross income. Use the Georgia return adjustment and provide the federal return; verify the duty and tax-year requirements with DOR.
