Mississippi Gold Star Family License Plate

Mississippi Gold Star plates are available to qualifying Mississippi-resident family members of a service member who was a Mississippi resident at death and died on active duty while the United States was at war or engaged in hostilities. Required death and relationship proof applies. Regular vehicle taxes and special-plate charges generally apply; for deaths after September 11, 2001, the mother and unremarried surviving spouse each have a one-plate tax-and-fee exemption. Apply through the county tax collector.
