Pennsylvania Educational Grant for Children of Service Members Declared a Prisoner of War (POW) or Missing in Action (MIA)

PHEAA’s POW/MIA education regulations cover a qualifying child of a service member who served on active duty after January 31, 1955 and was a POW or reported missing in action. The parent must have been domiciled in Pennsylvania for the 12 consecutive months immediately before active duty. An approved undergraduate program, at least half-time enrollment and financial need are required. Parent finances are disregarded. Applications must reach PHEAA before April 1 of the academic year and awards depend on available funds; ask PHEAA about the current award and application. This is separate from DMVA Educational Gratuity.
