The Kansas Hero’s Scholarship waives undergraduate tuition and required fees at eligible Kansas public institutions for qualifying former prisoners of war and certain spouses, unremarried surviving spouses and dependent children of military members or Veterans. Military-family routes include line-of-duty death, qualifying service disability preventing further service, or at least 80% service-connected disability, with Kansas-residence rules.
